As Google's blog post mentions, "Android 15 continues our work to build a platform that helps improve your productivity while giving you new capabilities." These capabilities include;  easier to stay connected, support for foldable cell phones, improved security and many more.

Google has stepped up its game with the enhanced support for satellite communications, introducing a new feature of ‘on-screen elements’ to ensure a steady user experience when connected to a satellite. Even though Android 14 is designed to support satellite messaging, Android phone’s manufacturers have not yet adopted that trend.

The perpetual Improvements made to the developer preview imply that in 2024 we might see its actual launch, maybe in future devices such as the Google Pixel 9.

This update notifies all installed applications when a screen recording process is active, which makes it more cumbersome for hackers to monitor Android phone activities without prior permission, thus assuring users of enhanced security features and peace of mind.

More Features of 'Android 15 Developer Preview'

In addition to this, developers are given a new method to display their apps on secondary screens, like the cover screens given on latest cell phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 etc. This new improvement will augment the functionality of the displays and make the cover screen more versatile by allowing more apps to run on it side by side.

Moreover, Android 15 implements amplification in loudness control to rectify audio inconsistencies among different applications, which will also eradicate the need to adjust the volume time after time when a user switches between various apps. Additionally, there are numerous tiny technical improvements for developers, incorporating more richness to font compatibility, HDR rendering, language switching and other additional features.

Don't install the developer preview unless you're a technical person who loves to play around with new stuff and has a reserve Android device to conduct testing and play around the new features. It's not for the faint of heart! In case you want to try it then you can find the necessary files on the Android 15 developer preview website.

The first publicly opened beta version is coming next month to give you a more solid and consistent experience. Furthermore, the commencement of Google I/O 2024 on May 14th is likely to uncover further intricacies relating to the forthcoming new features of Android 15. Let's hold our curiosity at peak and wait for the new features.
