The Essential Phone PH-1 got new software update which is packed with bug fixes, improvements and the latest Android December security patch. The company is trying to do the best job in bringing the latest updates to its’s customers.
If you own Essential Phone, then you may soon receive the update anytime. The update will be rolled out over-the-air (OTA). Installing this update your device will get the latest Android December security patch and improves the device functionality and usability.
It’s been just a few days that Google themselves released the December patch, now Essential made announcement that rolling out a December security patches tagged with build number NMJ51B.

Many users already receiving the OTA update notification. If you own an Essential Phone then you can manually check for the update. Go to Settings –> General –> About phone. If you don’t see any update on your device, then you have to wait for few days, as the update is rolling out in phase manner, it may take a couple of weeks to reach all corners of the world. Make sure that your device is connected Wi-Fi network to avoid data charges. The software tagged with the build number NMJ51B.
