And iMessage is the popular messaging app on iOS platforms. It is fast, free, secure, and works across all Apple devices. But, it is not cross-platform like WhatsApp or other messaging clients, and it will never be.

Now Android users can able to send and receive iMessage messages, the protocol used on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and iPod. An application called AirMessageis now available to download. But the twist is user should have a Mac computer to make use of this application. AirMessage app uses your Mac as a server, where all your data is secure, to send or receive the messages to your Android device.

AirMessage is similar to iMessage and it has all the features of iMessage app. Users can able to send attachments, photos, see the bubble, use the message effects, see when other person is typing, and much more. As the developer is seeking for beta testers. As this app is in beta stage, so you may notice some bugs.

Things required to use AirMessage App on your device

  1. Apple computer running macOS 10.11 or above.

  2. Android device running Android Marshmallow or above.

  3. Google Plus community account.

AirMessage app is still not yet released on Google Play Store. The developer planning to release the AirMessage app on Play Store for free once beta testing is completed. We will update the download link, once the stable app is out to the public.
