Android Oreo 8.0 is the latest and the fastest version of Android yet and it was released a few months back by Google. While only the Google Pixel devices were updated to this version initially, a lot of other Android devices have been receiving the update both in the form of Custom ROMs and beta upgrades.

The latest device added to the list is the flagship device of OnePlus from last year, the OnePlus 3. Along with the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T is also receiving the official update in the form of an open beta program and the OxygenOS of OnePlus is also updated to a newer version 5.0.

While the OnePlus 3 receives the Open Beta 27 version, the OnePlus 3T receives the Open Beta 18 version and both these are beta upgrades which means that all features might not work as intended and some bugs might be present. However, the update is stable enough and it could be used as a daily driver without any major issues.

If you are a OnePlus 3/3T user and are waiting for the Android Oreo official update to hit your device, then you can install and test out the latest beta upgrade of Android 8.0 right now on your device before the final version rolls out.

Android Oreo 8.0 is said to be the safest version of Android yet and it brings with it a lot of interesting and new features like the picture in picture mode for YouTube, improved doze functionality, smart text selection and a overall improvement in the performance and the stability of the system.
