HTC U Ultra receives update with October Security Patch

HTC U Ultra was released in January 2017. The device comes with the 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels by pixels. The HTC U Ultra is packed with 2.15GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card up to 2000GB. HTC U Ultra carries a 12-Ultrapixel primary rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera shooter for selfies. The HTC U Ultra comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and it is powered by 3000 mAh non-removable battery.

HTC released the new software update for HTC U Ultra with a couple of bug fixes and the Android October security patch. This is the minor update, it is packed with just October security patch and minor bug fixes.

There are no new features in this update, except the newly added security measures. And it is the older security patch. As we have entered December month, now HTC is releasing October Android security patch.

Many users already receiving the OTA update notification. If you own an HTC then you can manually check for the update. Go to Settings –> General –> About phone. If you don’t see any update on your device, then you have to wait for few days, as the update is rolling out in phase manner, it may take a couple of weeks to reach all corners of the world. Make sure that your device is connected Wi-Fi network to avoid data charges. The software 1.64.401.10 version.

HTC may soon receive Android Oreo. As HTC company is testing Android Oreo update on HTC, recently HTC U11 Life got the Android Oreo update in the US, while the HTC U11 received the update in the last week in Europe. HTC U Ultra will also get Android Oreo update very soon.
